Description	Michelle Saacks is an experienced Pianist, Musical Director and Teacher who has recently returned to England after some years performing and teaching music based in New York City. Michelle is comfortable across the spectrum of musical style, from Jazz to Blues to Pop to Classical to Brazilian to name a few and has worked with some of the defining artists of Jazz, Motown and Pop. "I have been incredibly lucky to have lived and worked in the amazing musical melting pot that New York is and to have been able to work with and learn from such stellar musicians. Basic to many of these artists is the desire to pass on their musical legacy and I feel privileged to be able to bring that here to Cornwall". Michelle is available as The Michelle Saacks Trio/Duo or even solo and also sings and plays some guitar and bass. "I love teaching and have loads of experience teaching both kids and adults, professionals and those just learning music because it is so joyful to be able to create. A cornerstone of my teaching practice is to build joy in creation by giving my students the ability to think for themselves as musicians through learning the basic 'bits' - theory, harmony, reading, ear training, improvisation, genre, repertoire et al. Most of all, it has to be fun and working from that starting point, my students develop the ability to make music and it's wonderful to be a part of that".
